_ AUCKLAND, last night. lhe committee of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association has decided that unless the management committee of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association agrees before July 22hd to the holding of the proposed junior tourriarnnet, and also to follow the recent ruling by the delegates to the New Zealand Association to the effect that small associations shouH not be formed m a district where there is already one head association,! the local executive would on no account undertake this year's tournament. Advice was receive! last week that the New Zealand Committee* would not take the re"-J sponsibility of granting the Auckland executive permission to e*nter several junior teams drawn from various districts, but that the question, together with another affecting the tournament, would be placed before a meeting of delegates' on August 13th, only a fortnight before the tournament, which 'is considered unfair to the local executive, inamsuch as they have no means of knowing how many teams will be m Auckland.
