PATHE PICTURES.
The ' new programme slio-tn ,at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday night was keenly appreciated by a. full Chouse. It is -stronger than usual m dramatic' subjects, the chief of which is^"Horiie." In this the humorous and the emotionral features are happily blended, while the drama has an uplifting tendency that strongly commends it to. all. A mother I m the country yearns for her wayfard son to 'return from the great city to join ' m the thanksgiving festivities^ and 'ad; i vertises for him to come home, ment ion r ing no names, .md signing it simply "Mother." The simple but striking appeal soon takes effect, laying hold of the busy editor to start with, and then being taken up by one and another until it finally falls into the hands for which it was specially intended, and. the boy manages to get home m time^ though he has to use strategy to get a, ride on ' a railway train. The Pathe^ Gazette contains a. picture of the German sailer Pisagua, which was m collisiort^with the | Ooeana. A fine 'naval!'pictur^-'ii> given, showing practise m the firing, of tor- ! pedoes. The programme (excepting the Star of Canada film) will' be repeated tomorrow" night. There' will be no pictures to-night, the ball , being otherwise engaged. ' "' r
