A LOST CODICIL.
£10,000 REWARD. PFFERED
LONDON, June 1. The biggest reward on record, £10,000 m 1882 m the Phoenix murder case, has been equalled by the offer m the Times of that sum for the signed original of the Codicil of the will of the late Sir James Murray » Scott, Bart, K.C.B; A draft of the codicil, the advertisement states, was found among the papers of Sir John m his handwriting. No executed copy can be discovered. All searches m his houses and at\the bankers have failed.
The advertisement suggests that the original may have been deposited m England on the Continent, and says that Mr D. Malcolm Scott will pay the £10,---»O00 reward "to any person who produces the original of such codicil duly signed by the testator and duly attested according to law ';',' and provided that the codicil is admitted to probate and proved not to have been revoked. . It is thought to be a codicil (if ever executed) revoking all bequests to Lady Sackville.
