STRIKES AND LOCK-OUTS.

Replying to the, Greymouth Chamber of .^Jommerce, suggesting Government legislation to prevent strikes and lockouts, the Auckland Chamber stated that the matter Avas too big to be dealt with. Yesterday's telegram stating that the Waihi Chamber of Commerce Avrote re assistance to engine drivers, should have read : "Thames- Chamber of Commerce." (The, Auckland Chamber was not aware of any organisation for relief purposes.)
