The vessel was delayed at Napier yesterday by rain, and did not leave that port until 5.15 p.m. yesterday. She brought about 150 tons of cargo to- Gisborne, and has on board about 100 tons for Coast ports. She left for Coast bays and Auckland this afternoon. The Union S.S. Co.'s Monowai leaves Auckland this afternoon for Gisborne, via Tokomaru Bay. The vessel will be tendered tomorrow on arrival and at 5 p.m. Early next week the scow Alert should be ready for sea, and will leave for Ngunguru to load timber for Gisborne. The schooner Awanui should get away ir a few days for Tauranga. The Union S.S. Co.'s Tarawera was late ir leaving Napier (getting away at 1.30 this morning), and consequently did not arrive as early as usual. The vessel left this afternoon foi Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay. The Maoriland Shipping Co.'s Holmdale left Greymouth at 11.15 p.m. on Thursday foi Gishorne. The following are the bookings for Soutl by the Monowai to-morrow; — Misses Tustin Milner and Devery, Mesdames Gallic, Simeon, and Ranguia and 2 children, Messrs Burt McKee, Walton, Ross, Johnstone, Robinson Braddeley, Hockley and Pari Keiha. The Shaw, Savill Company has now equipped nil, its twin-screw steamers with wireless tele graphy, including five passenger and sevei cargo steamers. The former include the •At henic, Corinthic, lonic, . Tninui, and. Atawa The cargo steamers fitted with wireless tele graphy to date are Zealandic, Pakeha, Waimana Rangatira, Mamari, Matatua, and Kia Ora.
