(Received June 14,-12.12 p.m.) '■',• LONpON, June 13: /The Chambers of 'Commerce Congress discussed the desirability of the\ Empire, co-operating m national defence. It urged the Government to - agree to a. practical scheme at an early date. In consequence of the strong dissent of the Congress, the Montreal delegation withdrew a motion to the effect that the dominions were doing, their part by devoting revenue to the developm-ent of their own resources. Major Corrigari, of Wellington, said that New Zealand's demand for compulsory training was unconnected with parties. - It was due to the people, headed by the press. Mr Jenkins, formerly Agent-General for South Australia^ said that if Britain adopted the Australian system it would have three million trained lads. V
