Speaking to a pressman at Palmerston North, Mr Vernon Reed denied that he had said, as reported, that he would vote against the Government, or anything, like it. What he liad said was that; some members of the' Liberal Party did not like the personnel of the new Ministry. He criticised the Hon. J; Colvin, and also the Hon. H. G. Ell's anti-gambling circular to postal employees.
