She arrives here and will be berthed at the wharf, and leaves the same afternoon for Auckland, via Coast bays. Messrs Richardson and Co.'s Ripple arrived from Picton, Wellington and Napier early this morning, with a cargo of general produce. She leaves this evening for Napier and Wellington. * Messrs Richardson and Co.'s Koutunui arrived from Auckland and Coast ports last night. She returns to Auckland and Coast to-night. The Union S.S. Co.'s' Kaitangata passed East (.'ape at 6.30 this morning, and arrived from Newcastle this afternoon. The vessel brings a cargo of coal and timber. After discharging slie proceeds to Tokomaru Bay, and then to Napier. '. * The Tarawera leaves Napier to-night, and arrives to-morrow morning. The launch leaves the wharf at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. , Th* Squall left for Auckland last evening. The Wanaka sailed for Auckland- at 5 p.m. yesterday. The Zealandic sailed, from London on April 23, and arrived at Capetown after a fine weather passage to May 15. After leaving this port a very heavy S.W. gale was encountered, and a loii.siderable quantity of water was shipped. It was the first severe storm that the Zealandic has encountered, and she proved, herself an excellent, sea boat. She arrived at Sydney on June 4, and left for Auckland on Friday last. Captain Holmes, lately m command of the Navua, recominissioned the Haupiri al Wellington. He has with him the following officers: Mr R. Jackson Fowler (chief), Mr McPliee (second), and Mr L. Owens (third). At. Bluff on Monday evening, while the Moeraki was berthing m a gale, the vessel broke away from her moorings. Three steel hawsers and two hemp lines carried away.
