A religious revival of unprecedented proportions, will be held m New York from l9th" to : 24th"'Arjril - as the culminat-r ing feature of the Nation -wide campaign of the national "Men and Religion Forward Movement." This movement has had the moral support and financial backing of a group of well known>financiers and business men, beaded by Mr Joseph J. Cannon, president of ' the Fourth National Bank of New York, the original projector of the campaign to revive religion and allay the growing social unrest.. ;'■

' The April Congress will be made up of delegates to the number of 300 from representative laymen's organisations of all denominations from all parts of tlie country. The sessions Will be' held m the Garriegie Hall, with auxiliary meetings m neighboring churches. The lay speakers, will inclnde President Taft, Mr Bryce (British Ambassador), Mr Wm. Jennings Bryan, arid Mr Booker Washington. Among the clergymen who have promised to speak are Archdeacon Madden, of Liverpool, and Dr., L. R. Gray, of Glasgow. Display advertisements are 'being published daily on the sporting pages of all the New York daily newspapers as follows:— "Men and Religion. — This advertisement is issued to say fo every man, woman and child m • Greater /New York that the churches are sincerely interest-, ed m the people, and want to help them m the highest ways. If you want, to know more about the Men and Religion Forward Movement, 'ask the editor or the nearest clergyman."
