PATHE PICTURES.

Sparkling comedy is the leading feature of the new set of pictures which the Pathe Pictures will present at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. For downright merriment "A Slight Mistake," a clever Vitagraph, production, 'has probably never been surpassed. The fun is provided through a couple of respectable citizens wandering into a lunatic asylum hy mistake. The proprietor and doctor mistake them for a couple of patients whoni/ they are awaiting* and the queer inmate^ of the institution- hail them as brothers. The angry protests of the pair lead. them> to be ftymmarliy placed m padded cells. After the weirdest experiences imaginable and the most ludicrous situations through, which tho two inoffensive men were ever called to pass the pair manage to escape, and are rescued by their wives. The\ fun is fast and furious throughout^ being helped along wonderfully by the clevei* work of Mr John Bunny, the renowned comedian. It is not often. that a bride gives away her wedding presents to a burglar, but this is> what occurs m "Their Burglar," auothe'v very fine , cqnjedy. On the -eve of-h'ei' wedding ; to a foreign nobleman a young girl decides to send for her foi'mer lover ; she writes him a note, asking him to save her from a loveless marriage. Going downstairs to find a messenger, she comes upon a burglar, who has entered with thfe'ihtention of making off with t/he wedding presents. Tho girl mistakes the burglar for one of the butlers, and prettily asks him to take the note. He successfully accomplishes tho mission, and on i*eI turning with the young man is l'ewarded with a gift of the whole lot of wedding presents. Tho .burglar reforms - AYi'd settles down to honest toil as a plumber. "The Outlaw Deputy" is * a strong drama, showing the softening offect of kindness upon criminals. "How Chairs are Made" is an interesting industrial film, Avhile "Calcutta Pageant" is a scenic picture of much beauty and educative value. The comic numbers are a clever lot, much fun being provided by the redoubtable "Foolshead," who, through no fault of his own, quarrels with six men, and finds himself with six separate duels to attend to. To-night will be the only occasion oh which this fine programme can be «hown, as there will bo no pictures on Monday or Tues.day.
