NURSING STAFF RESIGN. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Tlie trouble existing for some time amongst the nursing staff of the hospital culminated m the resignation of the deputy lady superintendent and practically all the. heads of the nursing department, who, .m a petition to the board, state that they cannot with justice either to the institution or themselves continue under the management of the present lady superintendent. This action fol-follo-wed upon Mr.. P. M. Mackay, who had championed the cause of the petitioners, being removed from the chairmanship of the boafd on a ballot rendered necessary by equal voting for himself and Mr Schofield, a rival candidate.
