At the inquest on a young Avoman named May Miller, Avho died m a hotel on Tuesday, a verdict was returned of death by lysol poisoning, self-adminis-tered Avhile temporarily deranged. DUNEDIN, this day. At the inquest on the body of Sydney Charles Ross, av!io shot himself at North East Valley on Tuesday, the evidence showed that deceased had been suffering from for some time. A verdict was returned that death Avas due to a gunshot wound, m the region of the heart, self-inflicted Avhile temporarily insane. A terrible motor car accident occurred at Killarney, Queensland, last Aveek. A car, owned by Mr D. W. Ezzy, auctioneer, and driven by a man " named BurroAvs, Avas taking Mrs McDonnell, of the Imperial hotel, and Mr M. Len? ney, representing the Massey-Harris Company, and Mr Chas. Pierce, into Warwick. When about three miles from Killarney the tyre burst, causing the car to? run OA'er a log. Tlie car Avas capsized, with the result" that Mr Pierce was killed, Mrs McDonnell had her nose broken and sustained a severe shock, Mr Lenney had a hip fractured, and Burrows sustained shock and avus severely bruised.
