LAND SALE.

: Twenty sections m Derby, Kahutia, fand' Grey' streets were submitted to public auction by Messrs Comipon, Shelton and Co. at Barlow's Garage tliis afternoon oil behalf of the Hon. Capt. Tucker. ■M*~J.-.-B < - Kells officiated, there being a fairly good attendance, and substantial figures Avere realised. The sections submitted varied from 26 perches 'to 38 perches: The auctioneer explained that -arrangements had been made to extend Kahutia ahd Derby streets, to form them, and provide water and sewerage.. A start Avas made with section 3, corner, pf Derby arid Kahutia /streets • (28.16 perches), at £400; it rapidly rose to £450 i at which figure it sold to Mr Chrisp. 7 ■ , V Section 4, 28.16 perches, sold for £370 to Mr Hickey. Section 5, same area, sold to the same buyer at a similar figure. Section 6,-38.45 -perches, Grey street, vrent to Mr Hickey also at £500. Section 7 w»s withdrawn. Section 8 (corner section), Kahutia and Grey streets, • 35.17 perches, , was purchased for £500 by Mr W. A. O'Meara, Section 9, on the corner opposite, 34.12 perches, passed m at £460. Section 10, adjoining, 33.2 perches, was passed m at £360, and section 11 .at £310. Section 12, 33.2 perches, was sold to Mr deLautour. for £350^ and section 13, adjoining, same area, was purchased by the same buyer for £380. Section 14, corner section, Derby and Kahutia streets, 33.2 perches, Avent to Mr Hickey at £500. Section 15, corner section opposite, 28.89 perches, was passed m at £440, the upset being £450. Section ' 16, 31.67 perches, Avas sold to Mr S W. A; O'Meara Section 22, corner section, 31.7 perches, was secured^ by Mr Hickev for £500. v Section 23, 28.8 perches, \went to Mr O'Meara at £340, and section 24, corner section adjoining, same area, Avent to the previous buyer for £450. Sectiony 33 j corner section, 26.56 perches, was / sold to Mr O'Meara at £470. Section 32 was withdrawn, having been previously sold. s Section 31, 28.4 perches, was passed j?& £360. _^
