All-aged Stakes (Aveight-for-age), 1 mile. — Popinjay (8.6) 1, Comedy King (8;13) 2, Wilari (8.3) 3. Son of the Marsh also started. Popinjay led all : the way. 'Son. of the Marsh Avas second for two furlongs and , then fell ' back. At fo\ir furlongs Popinjay had a slight lead from Comedy King and Wilari. The positions were unchanged Avhen coming round the turn. Popiniay led into the straight by three-quarters of a length, Comedy King being -hard ftiddeit. Before reaching the, post Popinjay increased ■his lead, and won l by four lengths, a, length separating second and third.
