CAPTURE OF JAUREZ.
EL PASO (Texas), March 1. Mexican insurgents haA'e taken possession' of Jaurez, on the Mexican side of the border. There was np resistance, only a few scattered shots being fired. Tlie rebels have taken charge of the municipal buildings and the Customs. No looting Avas indulged m. The Federal troops are advancing to the attack. The United States troops have doubled along the Texan bank of the Rio Grande river. [Jaurez is a great horse-racing and gambling town. Races are held every Sunday, as well as most other days of the : Aveek, and gambling goes on m the gaming room day and night.] x t /V WASHINGTON, March 1. The fall of Jaurez has created a.feeling of relief here, as it enables tlie United States troops to be AvithdraAvn, thus preventing international complications.
