Messrs Richardson and Co.'s Kahu arrived from Wellington this morning, bringing a full shipment of sewerage pipes for the Borough Council. She is to return South either late tonight or to-morrow morning. Messrs Richardson and Co.'s Ripple arrived from South this morning with a large general cargo for this port. She returns South this .eyening, calling m at Napier on tho way down. The Union S.S. Co.'s Squall, which left Auckland oh". Wednesday night, passed East Capo at* 7 o'clock this morning. She is due to finish at Tolaga Bay early this afternoon, an 1 to arrive here, this evening. The Squall will return to .Auckland direct to-itiorrow. The Union S.S. Co.'s Haupiri was working Tokomaru -Bay yesterday, and, as the weather is improving," it is hoped that she will be able to complete her work on the Coast and re.S turn to Gisborne on Saturday or Sunday. Sho will then load sheep for Tauranga, and having discharged them will proceed on to Auckland, calling at Limestone Island en route. The Union S.S. Co.'s Tarawera is due from Smith to-morrow, morning, and ,to sail later m the forenooh for Tokomaru Bay and Auckland. She will be tendered here to-morrow moii ling at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The Unum S.S. Co.'s Monowai returns from Auckland on Sunday afternoon,, and proceeds SouMi during the evening. She will be tendered, on .arrival and at 5 p.m. .Tho barque Thora is completing her ballasting; and -should- the. wind be favorable, will sail to-morrow- morning for Havelock to load tiriilir-r for' Sydney. There are now 13 ,of the Union Co.'s passenger steamers which have been fitted with wireless installations.
