i Three further, heats jn the Gisborne Rowing Club's President's Fours were -deckled last night.
R. Pyerott, O. Pollock, M. Oman, and H. Maynar'cl beat S. Colmnnn, B. Moore, C. Devery and F. Cramp. From an even 8< art tho cr<?\vs raced together until passing the Roebuck road bridge, when Pycroft assumed a slight lead. Coleman caught uji again, but when the footbridge wap cleared Pycroft again went to tho front. Coleman, however, was lying-, liandy, and a »liort distance from the finishing post he spurted and drew level with his opponent. Pycroft was equal to the occasion, and he succeeded m gaining .-the verdict by half a length. V H. Tocker, F. Everiss, "R. I. Scott and P. A. O'Meara beat. P. McConville, ,F. Daniels, J. Gallop and J. Richmond rather comfortably'; and F. T. Port, L. O'Brien, Dv Hutton- and R. Scarfe had an easy, win over G. Puflett, J. Langridgc, D. Parker ( and 1". Heiinessy. The races will bo •continued this evening.
