UpAvards of £10,000,000 worth of] stocks and bonds has been taken out of' the vaults, all of Avhich have been found intact. ; Although, warned that th'eir Kves Avill be endangered, 250 men have started on the work of shoring the Avails, as a preliminary to getting at the larger vaults, with Avhichit Avould be extremely risky to interfere until the tottering, walls have been secured against, collapse. It is estimated that the disaster has already cost the fire brigade department \ j £20,000 in wages for extra labor.
