It is supposed that he has relatiA*es living in Vincent street, • Auckland. -\ HOKITIKA, this day. John Spencer, an old' and respected miner, Avas buried in his claim by a fall of earth yesterday. . His body AA-as recovered by a rescue party at 5 o'clock this morning. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. At a quarter to five this afternoon a motor car accident. occurred in front of Warner's Hotel. When a car driven by Reginald Blunden, of Bennett's, turned from Colombo street towards Warner's hotel, an elderly man named Thomas Ryan hesitated and the car ran into him, knocking him over. Re sustained severe injuries' to his spine, and the left -leg Avas broken. He... was taken to the hospital, where he died. • j
