A coroner's jury decided that the death of a woman killed in the street by a car was an accident, due to the overcrowded state of the car and the failure of the brffkes to work. The authorities are 'to be. urged to regulate the overcrowding of cars. A Bill will be introduced into Parliament amending the criminal code by making the holding of race meetings illegal, unless the associations controlling them are incorporated. NEW YORK, January 18. At Atlanta, Mr Morse, the banker, is dying. Rev. Dr. Macfarland has been arrested at Greenville, Tennessee, on a coroner's charge of being guilty of the death of his lady secretary, Miss Elsie Coe. One million pounds worth of securities have been taken unharmed from the Equitable Life building.
