The annual report of the /Japanese mail line has been received. l£ indicates the possible extension, to New Zealand. The president foreshadbwed the .construction ofj seven iriew vessels at a cost of a million, including two" 'for the Australian trade. He added that one line sufficed for the Australian trade, but in the event, of the line, .being extended to New Zealand, one more must be added.
