A flash, of lightning was responsible for un extraordinary accident at Mostnan. (N.S.W.) dui'ing a storm. Two boys named Wilson and Trelaun, both about 10 years of age,, were about to carry two syphons of soda-water upstairs, and had placed them for a moment at the fooit ■ of. the stairway, when there was a vivid lightning flash, which it is supposed struck one of the syphons. The latter exploded with n loud report, fragments of glass Fcattering m all directions. Both boys were, hit by pieces of the broken syphon, the resulting injury m. each case being to the leg.
