Mr Sutton, a. prominent member of j the Licensed Victuallers' Association, declared that New Zealand's prohibition campaign was a momentous one. The world was watching and waiting for tlie answer. If New Zealand voted prohibition she would go the same way as the prohibition States of the United States — insolvent.
