The following very interesting games wore played yesterday afternoon at the Gisborne Bowling Club's green:— Handicap Pairs: Maher and Miller (6) 34, v. Morgan and .Brown (5) 17; Grieve and Craig (2) 40, v. Roberts and Eure (4) 16; Roberts and Eure (4) 25, v. Hofl and Bullock (2) 20; Williams and Robertson (2) 34, v. Burton and Colebrook (6) 29; Williams and Robertson (2) 26, v. O'Meara and Greig (4)' 22. Practice games: Hofl, McMillan, Bright and Smith (skip) 28, ' beat R. Crawford, Colemnn, T. A. Crawford apd Ponsford (skip) 26; Pasley, Allan, Barber and Bullock (skip) 25, defeated Crompton, Townson, Gee and Kyme (skip) 18. The new inter-club competition ' initiated by Mr C. J. Bennett,, who presented a cup for a two-rink contest between the Gisborne and Turanganui Clubs, •will be held on the Turanganui Club's green on Thursday, the 14th. The Gisborne Club will be represented by the following rinks: — GiSborne: Zacharinh, McMillan, Eure, Smith (skip); Brown, Coleman, Ponsford, Craig (slpp). Three :rjnks havp' entered for tho Napier Bowling Club tournament to be held on tho Napier Club's green ori Jet and 2nd January, 1812. , _, The Northern Bowling Association's tournament is to be held at Wellington, commencing on Monday, Sth January, and it is anticipated that Gisborne will be represented by three or four rinks.
