The Monowai sails for north at 8.30 p.m. Passengers for Gisborne : Misses McAlister, Waters, Duckworth, and Bmmvell, Mrs 1-arrin Messrs Le Cren, Wheeler, O'gilvie, Baiivl, Pettigrew, Hobbs, Denser, Carbill, Allan, Shennan, Parvin, ( Langland, Rigg> Davies, Tingey, Williamson and Petherbridge^ and 15 steerage.
The following have booked by the Monowui, sailing to-morrow for Auckland : — Misses Cooper, G. Parker,, Mrs Campbell and child, Mr and Mrs Coster and three children, Bishop Cleai-y, Messrs Coopef, Ross, Rayner and Coe. The fiquaJl had not arrived m Auckland up to this morning, owing to the bad weather on the. coast, and she will therefore not get away from that port before to-morrow for Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. The Kowhai, which put into Nelson for shelter on her run from Uisbornu to
Greymotith, is still taking shelter, the weather, which appeared to be moderat ing, again changing back, to a very boisterous state. Advice ha,s been received that out of the 100 head of cattle shipped from Gisboi'ne only one beast has been lost, despite the conditions.
