Ihe production, on the whole, was very capably earned out. Of the principal characters, Mr. Tom Holdsworth as Mark Meredith, " ; a country farmer, infused much power into his part, which he ably carried .out. „,: M r Jack as Dick Denham," alias "Demon." also' acted AveU, being particularly, good on board the convict hulk, wlien. he recorded hia hard; .luck, and tlXe series of misfortunes which had. placed him m. that position. ' Verrior, ' and !a .Roy," Muster Phil, Rice. Mi 4 Alfred Rice\ also deserves credit for his ca^pable^ fimnagement, as do Mr Holdsworth ' (stiige maiia,g ; er), Mr R. H. Clark (mephanist), , gjid Mr S. Pearson (scenic. Artist). The orchestra, under the. capable conductorship of Mr Vita, helped much towards making the. entertainment a 'Success. :
