THE FAULT OF CAPTAIN
BEIGHTON
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph.— Copyright.)
SYDNEY", Oct. 16. The Marine Court of Inquiry found that the Nera-Taviuni collision was caused by Captain Beighton, the master of the Taviuni, failing to keep the steamer on her proper course. Captain Beighton's record showed that during the eighteen years he has been at sea, he never previously had an accident.
Judge Murray, m suspending Captain Beighton's certificate for six months from the date of the collision, said the Court, was sorry to have to deal with the certificate of a # master who hitherto hod managed to ship without an accident.
