PURSUANT to Section 8 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," notice is hereby given that the Waikohu County Council proposes to raise a Loan for the purpose of deviating the Road to Kanakanaia. The work to be undertaken is the construction of nine miles of Dray Road, the erection of three Bridgps, and Metalling two miles of the _.. w formation ; the payment of compensation for land taken, and the fencing of the road line where necessary, has also to be paid out of the Loan. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £9000. The annual charge for this amount (plus 10 per cent.) will be £482 12s 6d. For the purpose of providing the annual charge, it is proposed to levy a Special Rate of 4-sths of Id m the £1 upon all Rateable Property included m the Special Rating Area, such rate to be an annual recurring rate during. the currency of the Loan, being a period, of 36£ years, t The present value of the" property included m the Special Rating.
