WRECK OF THE MACLEAY.

SYDNEY, October 13. j Five bodies have been recovered from the wreck of the MacLeay. The only identification, except Jones, is that of Hansen, a fireman. The seaman Tabll 1 did not sail, his place being taken by a man named McKenzie, who is amongst the missing. Peterson one of the saved, who was at the wheel, states that the captain instructed him to steer northeast. The mate took command, and ordered him to steer north by east. A few minutes later they struck the rock. (Received October 14, 8.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 14. The wreck of the steamer Macleay is located off the eastern point of Big Cabbage Tree Island. An extended search failed to disclose any signs of further survivors. * . ." 4 .
