PROTECTING THE DOLLARS. WASHINGTON, March 13. Reasons for the mobilisation of troops and the threatened invasion of Mexico by tho United States are still discussed. The protection of the £300,000,000 invested by the United States south of the Rio Grande has arisen with clear-cut definitencss as the possible cause of the move which seems to be proceed m ••- regardless of what happens to Presfdent Diaz and to the subordination of all other phases of the situation. It is stated that President Taft's brother,, m tho position of counsel and director, represents great Mexican interests, such as .international railways. ' Attorney-General Wickerson * ir, n former member of Henry Taft's law firm, and for many years has been intimately m .touch with Mexican financial affairs. Secretary for War Dickinson, before entering ihe Cabinet, was Attorney for the Illinois central Railroad which became part of the Harrii^an system.; having huge interests m Mexico. The revolution has absolutely ruined business m northern Mexico. '
