, ENGLAND OR AUSTRALIA* NEW YORK, March 14. The. lawn tennis authorities here are not quite pleased with the preliminaries £o the "Davis" Cup contests. They consider that the United States team is not likely to go to South Africa,) nor the South African to visit tho United States. The English Association has suggested that the preliminaries and the semi-finals shall bo played m England, the Avinner to go to Australia to meet the present champion. At present it looks as though all the matches will bo played m Australia. '
