Clayton, has arrangemonts well m hand!, and a goood display bf the art of self-defence is promised-,' and ■' &i. large attendence is .anticipat|ed: Mr W. O'Connor' will officiate ns refprpe, whilst Messrs . Seymour and Rees Jones will fill the position " of timekeepers. The first part of the programme will be four amateur bouts of six rounds each. The following being . matched : T. J. Parker v. S. Bardswell, A. P. 'Kaipara v. V. Friire, F. Seymour v. C. Clark, .B. Jiowe v. P. . H. Sherratt. The professional .challenge match of 15 rounds for a purse of 30 soys will follow, L. Robinson meeting R. Statham. The former i« reported to be very flt,.and. will, no doubt hiake a big effort .to. nguw secure i the, honors. Statham is also m good form, and ■ has been m training for the content for some time back, anil should make a showing.
