VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.
MANILA, February 3. Mount Taal is still sending forth great volumes of lava, the eruption being as violent as ever. The company that is engaged m the development of the region on which the volcano is located has offered transportation work, and new homes for 2000 families that quitted the district. NAPLES, February 3. Vesuvius has been showing increased aotivity during the last two days. From the crater and the fissures m the sides of the mountain • columns of smoke are rising, and the many detonations that are taking place are creating much alarm m Naples.
