JOHNSON- JEFFRIES PICTURES.

There is' every indication of a big opening when MacMahon Bros.' produce, at His Majesty's Theatre on Mon-| day and Tuesday evenings, the muchdiscussed living picture reproduction of the recent fight for* 'the '.world's championship between Jack Johnson and Jim Jeffries. The New Zealand Times (Wellington), in referring to the first exhibition of the pictures in that city, says : "The crowded state of the Opera House last evening indicated the extraordinary interest which has been aroused in the moving picture of the Johnson-Jeffries contest. No other animated picture -has been brought so much under the notice of the civilised world. The opportunity of witnessing the first screening J of this film in Australasia was reserved for a Wellington audience last night under tho management of the McMahon Bros. From a photographic point of view the picture is incomparably in advance of anv previously shown, whilst as to the fight itself, the two words "wonderful performance" briefly sum up tho whole business." The box plans arc now on view at Mr Miller's, where seats may be reserved for ouo or both nights.
