- ->' (Special to Herald.) PALMERSTO-N N., this day. The band arrived all well, and ate quartered at De Vine's hotel. They be* gan practising this morning in earnest. The Westport Garrison Band also tit!* rived yesterday. Other bands are awry* ing on Saturday. Mr Holbeti, eecwtary of the Association, considers this oota* test will be the largest (inclusive of the Christchurch Exhibition contest). The** are 1Q bands definitely coming. Tho weather promises fine for contest week] The members of the Gisborne BftM have been made honorary members of the Cosmopolitan Club.
