NGATAPA SETTLEMENT.
The. examination of applicants for the; Ngatapa sections lasted until .nearly 6 -p.m.> yesterday. 'Eight applications were rejected, principally on account of applicants: already being owners of hroq, and there were six wiithdrawals, chiefly owing to the inability 'of the persons to comply with the residential clause. 7 The ballot commenced at '3 v o'clock^ this afternoon.
