OBITUARY.

: The death occurred at the Cjishorne , Hospital yesterday afternobri of *a'highlyrespected settler of Tiirewa, Mr Ernest Lee Joblin, nt the age of 60. Mr Joblin, although he had suffered a good deal m other yeairs froni attacks of rheumatic . fe\'er, had only been ailing for a feAV weeks; and though his condition had become, very gfave, it Avas' thought bii Suridhy that he Avoiild pull through, as there seemed to be 'a considerable-; ,., imiprovement. The deceased had led a quiet, industrious [life, not .taking 'any prominent 'part m [district .affairs, for< the reason that his health was against it, but gaining the friendship of "all Avith -whom he came m contact. He ; ari*ived m tlie Dominion m .1863 Avith members of the family, his father now,a't the age of 90, being a settler m the Opotiki district.
