It is stated m Uhrietchurch that the Tetrchchment scheme undertaken by the Government is being conducted on lines that are hardly m accordance with generally accepted ywwjj m tJda respect. Married' men appnreittly are receiving much more of . the unwelcome attention than single men. In the .Chriatchurcli office of the Valuation- Department, for instance, six men will be affected if the proposals are carried out, and four of those are married men with about 20 persons depending : on- th^m.
