The ravages of blight are frequently apparent., A fairly large pro!portion of tho tubers are in an 'advanced stage, of decay,, while ; many are just showing .signs of rotting. Many farmera believe that the .potato blight "is in the soil, as a number of farmers laat year went to tlie' expense of securing seed potatoes from areas that were froe from blight, and crops from these tubers are also affected. " .
