'Winter caiight Kirk near Williams' bend, v and the boats raced' together for some distance l . /At the junction of the river, v Winter drew ahead, and won. . The best Tace was' between Jack, Nicolas,/ (9sec) and J. O'Neill (25s«rc). The latter made , tKo most, of his* start/ and waa wi thin a few yards of the winning Eost, wh&n Nicolas caught ,and passed im, winning Iby a very small margin. V Thia evening the third round, will be rowed, the semi-finals to-morrow night, and the final on Wednesday. The draw 'for to-night's raoesr is as follows : C. WSnter (13sec) v. S. Dbig (20sec), J. W.
