IRENE AINSLEY CONCERT.
Perhaps' no musical event of recent times 1 created more stir than did Miss Ainsley's debut concert in the Bechstein Hall, London, 18 months ago, and that we are to be given so early aii/opportunity of hearing the voice which, no less a judge than Madame Melba declares to- be one of the most beautiful in the world, is a subject for no small congratulation. On all sides the highest euldgiiims of Miss Ainsley's voice . and singing are to be heard, and Gisborne is fortunate, in having an opportunity" to hear so delightful a singer. The word phenomenal- might well be used, when speaking of Miss Ainsley's career, revisiting; as she, does, her native land after but four years of absence, with her place amongst the great • singers of 'the '.day .already won.
