During the Easter holidays, including Good Friday, trains will run as .usual between Gisborne and Te Puha. The s.s. Wimmera is expected to arrive at 5 p.m. to-morrow. There will be a launch on arrival, and the last launch at 8 p.m. A general meeting of Mr W. D. Lysnar's Committee in the Mayoral contest will be held at the Farmers' Club room at 8 this evening. The following team, will represent the Napier Football Club in. the match against the Kaiti-City Football Club on Saturday afternoori : Back, F. At the Matawhero stock sale, Messrs Williams and Kettle, Loan and Mercantile ; Agency Company,, and Murray, Roberts and Co. sold: 35 wethers at 10s Bd, 24 2-tooth ewes 7s, 36 hoggets 4s 4d, 400 hoggets Bs, 1569 wethers 13s Id, 250 wethers 13s 2d. A lawn party of the old Melburnians was. held on April 4 at the Church of England Grammar School, Melbourne, to inaugurate the jubilee celebrationis. A cable was received from Mr Justice F. B. The group in the photograph comprised Mr Justice Chapman, and Messrs Vincent Pyke and Thomas. Tlie special services to be held in Holy Trinity Church to-morrow (Good Friday) are announced in our advertising columns. Ihe vicar invites all parishioners to attend. Residents generally who maj care to observe the sacred character oi Good Friday are also cordially invited. All necessary books will be provided, In the afternoon, at 3 o'clock, a specia 1 family service will' be conducted. Tht service ' is intended for young people, but the vicar requests parents to attend also. All young people, whether attend ing Sunday school or not, are invited, Rev. F. W. Chatterton will occupy th* pulpit at this service. The choir wil lead in the Passion music at all services and. in the evening will render Dr Stauner'j beautiful "Story of the Cross." 'The.-an-nouncements of tli© Easter Day services will be made in the church to-morrbw and will also appear in our coluinns or Saturday. The church will be decoratec for Easter on Saturday afternoon at J o'clock. '.
