iPress Assn. — By Telegraph.— Copyright. ) SYDNEY, April 15. Elevation was given quiet exeivise, and seems very sore. In the semi-final gallops, Maranui, with a light-weight up, did a pleasing six- furlongs in 1.175. Waipuna did 7 furlongs in 1.33. logo galloped an easy mile iii 1.49. Poseidon rattled over 10 furlongs in 2.13_. These were the best gallops of the morning. WELLINGTON, last night. In connection with the message that Elevation had displayed signs ot lameness after doing a gallop yesterday morning at Randwick, no confirmation of the report has been received by Mr W. E. Bidwill. Elevation has at times an action which might deceive course watchers, and it may prove to be a case of a jarred joint or muscle strain. In the absence of advice from the trainer, Mr W. H. Turnbull, who represents Mr Bidwill, is of opinion that nothing can be seriously amiss with the colt.
