A MASONIC FUNCTION. (Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, this day. His Excellency the Governor (Lord Punket) arrived in Christehurch yesterday morning. In the afternoon the Civic Lodge, the latest .addition to the roll of Masonic lodges under the jurisdiction of ,the Grand Lodge of New Zealand, was consecrated, and the W.M. [installed by M.W. Bro. Lord Plunket, Grand Master. At the conclusion of | the ceremony of installation and investiture, a banquet was held, in His Majesty's The.atre. The . presentation by His Execloncy the Governor of the certificates, diplomas, and medals in connection with, the Trinity College, of Music, Lohdon will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock in His. Majesty's Theatre. His Lordship Bishop Grimes will preside on the occasion. This evening His Excellency will leave for Auckland.
