P.B. REFEREES' ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting- of the Poverty Bay Referees' Association was held at the Royal hotel last evening. Tliere' was a good attendance, Mr J. A, Etitou presiding. A report, presented by the secretary, Mr W. Howard, congratulating the members ooi the good work done during lust season, and showing a sanall creditbalance, was adopted. The New Zealand Referees' Association wrote asking if the local Association intended being represented at the conference to be held at Auckland at Easter, ilr F. J. Olsen was appointed to represent tlie Association. The election of officers resulted as .follows: President, Mr }\ r . 0. Sko\>t; chairman, Mr J. J. Martin ; vice-chair-man. Mr J. A.. Eaton ; secretary, Mr W. Howard; appointment committee, Messrs
Hay, Howard, Eaton, Maltin and Somervell; examination committee, Messrs Hallamore, Howard, and W. Haj\ Itwas decided to seek financial assistance from the Poverty Bay Rugby Union.
The following referees were appointed for next Saturday: — Napier Football Club v. Kaiti-City, Mr W. Howard; Palmerston North v. Kaiti-City juniors, Mr W. Hay.
