. AUCKLAND, this day. The steamer Devon, Avhich arrived from England to-day, brought 126 immigrants lor New Zealand — lor Auckland 47, Lyttelton 14, and Port Clialmers 10.

The care with which the Customs authorities examine articles was illustrated at the Harbor Board's meeting on Saturday, wheai tlie fact was mentioned' that owing to there being 2£ matches' too many m some boxes, 100 cases ,of matches luad been detained m the wharf sheds. ELTHAM, this day. The valuation of Elltham is £288,000, an increase of £112,000 over the valuation of three years, ago.

WELLINGTON, this day. The award of the Arbitration Court m the drivers' dispute was filed to-day. Thetenns had been agreed upon, except those relating to wages, which'lmve been fixed .by the Court. The wages of both classes of drivers have been increased by 2s per week. This decision was'that of Judge Sim alone, as Mr Pryor, the employers' representative, thought there should l>e no increase while Mr McCullough thought* there . should 1 be more;
