FIRE IN AUCKLAND.
OUTBREAK IX STAR OFFICE. (Per Press Association.) . AUCKLAND, this day. A fire occurred m the Star office early on Sunday morning. It originated m the stereo room. The fire brigade so promptly attacked the flames that they were confined t 0 one floor at the back of tho premises. The damage is between £500 and £1000, covered by insurance m ull offices but the State lire oflicc. The em- 1 ployes, .engineers, and carpenters worked energetically to get the plant m working order, so that repah's could be effected sufficiently . t« enable work to be resumed as usual to-day. When the fire brigade wns proceeding. to the fire the hose reel, with two men, capsized when turning a. corner at Fort street, and the men sustained injuries which are not serious.
