(Per Press Association.) WAIROA; this day. At the Harbor Board meeting last night a proposal to reduce wharfage rates by 50 per cent, was defeated. A motion was carried, engaging Mr Leslie Reyonlds to report on a scheme for improving the- river entrance. John TVdvick, alias "Happy Jack." difid at. the. hospital last night, the result, of injuries sustained at Mangapoike some months ago, a log rolling against his thigh.
