MAN DROWNED AT WAIROA.
iFer Press Association.) WAIROA, this day. At 10 tins morning an .unknown man was found lying in. shallow water near the bridge. Lite was not quite extinct, but efforts to restore animation failed. An inquest will be held. Mr W. A! Barton, S.M., Coroner, has received a telegram from Wairoa, stating that a man, name unknown, was found lying face 'downwards in a pool of water under the end of the Wuiroa bridge. He appears to have been drunk, and went to sleep under the bridge, and the water rose and drowned him. Mr Barton directed that an inquest bo held.
