The Commercial Banking Company officially informed the Premier that the Bank coiild not accept Parliament's terms for advancing mbriey to the Lithgow ironworks.' The whole works, except the blast furnace,. -Will be closed.' There is great anxiety at Lithgow, as practically tlie whole town is dependent on the works.
